How Cavale Live Covers Live Music
Cavale Live is an Arizona-based independent live-music publication. These standards govern how we report, photograph, review, and publish. They exist so readers, artists, publicists, promoters, and venues know exactly what to expect from our work.
Accuracy & Fact-Checking
Cavale Live is committed to accuracy. We verify facts before publication using primary sources, on-site observation, official event information, and direct communication with artists, publicists, promoters, and venues where appropriate. When information cannot be independently verified, we say so or hold the item.
Editorial Independence
Cavale Live maintains editorial independence. Receiving a media credential, photo pass, review ticket, interview opportunity, press material, or other access does not guarantee favorable coverage and does not allow any outside party to control our editorial conclusions. Our reviews, captions, and reporting reflect our independent assessment.
Concert Reviews & Critical Opinion
Concert reviews reflect the informed perspective of the writer. Opinion is clearly distinguished from fact. Reasonable people may disagree about a performance; our role is to offer honest, considered criticism, not to serve as a promotional extension of any artist, label, promoter, or venue.
Corrections & Updates
When we become aware of a substantive factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. A correction notice describing what changed and when it was made is displayed on the affected story. Minor typographical fixes are made without a notice. If you believe something we published needs correction, contact us at coverage@cavalelive.com.
Media Credentials & Complimentary Review Access
Cavale Live may accept media credentials, photo passes, or review tickets to cover performances. Accepting access is a logistical necessity for coverage, not an agreement to produce positive coverage. Access does not influence our ratings, conclusions, or the framing of a review. Any media-access disclosure appears on the relevant story when applicable.
Photography Ethics
Our concert photography documents real performances as they happen. We do not stage, fabricate, or misrepresent moments. We respect artist image policies, venue rules, and credential restrictions, and we operate professionally and courteously in the photo pit and the crowd.
Image Editing & Visual Accuracy
Normal editorial adjustments may be made for exposure, color, contrast, cropping, noise reduction, and presentation. Photographs will not be altered in a way that materially misrepresents the performance or subject. We do not composite, add, or remove meaningful content from a documentary concert photograph.
Artificial-Intelligence Transparency
Cavale Live may use AI tools for administrative or editing assistance, such as transcription, drafting aids, or workflow support. We do not use AI to fabricate reporting, quotations, events, photographs, or eyewitness claims. Any substantive AI assistance that materially shapes a published story is disclosed. Our concert photography is captured by a human photographer and is not AI-generated.
Conflicts of Interest
Cavale Live discloses material conflicts of interest when they exist. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage. Paid or sponsored content, when offered in the future, will be clearly labeled as such and kept separate from editorial coverage.
Sponsored or Paid Content Labeling
Any sponsored, branded, or paid content will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored,” “Branded,” or “Paid Partnership.” Sponsored content does not appear as independent editorial coverage and is never presented as a review or recommendation.
Copyright & Photo Licensing
Cavale Live retains the applicable copyright to its original work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Editorial publication does not automatically authorize third-party promotional or commercial use. To report an error or request a correction, email coverage@cavalelive.com with the story URL, the specific concern, and any supporting information. We review every correction request and respond as appropriate.
