Concert Reviews & Critical Opinion

Concert reviews represent the informed perspective and firsthand experience of their credited authors.

We recognize that live music is subjective. Two people attending the same performance may leave with entirely different impressions, and both experiences can be valid.

Our reviews may explore musicianship, production design, lighting, staging, audience interaction, emotional impact, atmosphere, artistic direction, and the overall concert experience.

We encourage distinctive voices, thoughtful criticism, personal reflection, and writing that communicates what made an event meaningful.

However, personal opinion must remain distinguishable from factual reporting.

Critical commentary should be fair, considered, and grounded in actual experiences or appropriately attributed information.

Our role is neither to promote artists unconditionally nor to criticize them for attention. It is to offer independent, thoughtful perspectives on live music.

Corrections & Updates

Cavale Live is committed to correcting substantive factual errors promptly and transparently.

When a material error is identified and confirmed, we update the affected publication and include an appropriate correction notice explaining what changed and when the correction was made.

Minor typographical corrections, formatting improvements, and grammatical adjustments may be made without a formal notice when they do not alter the factual meaning of the work.

When new information becomes available after publication, we may update an article to reflect additional verified details.

These arrangements facilitate independent coverage and do not constitute payment for positive publicity.

Receiving access does not determine the content, tone, conclusions, or critical assessment of our reporting.

Where relevant, we disclose complimentary review access or other material arrangements that readers should know about when evaluating a story.

We respect reasonable venue procedures, artist photography policies, and applicable credential agreements.

Cavale Live does not knowingly agree to conditions that would require us to misrepresent our independent editorial conclusions.

Photography Ethics

Concert photography is a foundational part of Cavale Live's identity.

Our photographic work begins with real performances, real environments, and images captured by human photographers.

We approach concert photography as both documentation and artistic expression.

Some photographs are intended to preserve a moment as faithfully as possible. Others explore the emotional and visual experience of live music through expressive composition, motion, experimental techniques, and creative post-production.

We believe both approaches have a legitimate place in an independent music publication when represented accurately.

Cavale Live does not knowingly fabricate concerts, falsely depict an artist's participation, or present digitally constructed scenes as unaltered documentary evidence.

Our photographers are expected to respect venue regulations, artist photography agreements, fellow media professionals, performers, and audience members.

We also recognize that responsible concert photography requires awareness of the people and environments being documented.

The goal is to create compelling imagery without compromising professional conduct or factual integrity.

Image Editing & Creative Photography

Cavale Live embraces photography as both a documentary medium and an opportunity for creative experimentation.

Every photograph presented as original concert photography originates from a camera-captured image taken by a human photographer at an actual performance.

Our photographers may apply traditional photographic adjustments and creative post-production techniques to express their artistic interpretation of the experience.

Traditional editing may include exposure correction, white balance, contrast, color grading, cropping, sharpening, and noise reduction.

Creative photographic treatments may include:

• Experimental color grading and stylized color palettes.
• Film grain, textures, overlays, and simulated analog-film treatments.
• Light leaks, optical effects, motion blur, and atmospheric effects.
• Multiple-exposure techniques and layered photographic compositions.
• Mirroring, kaleidoscopic transformations, and psychedelic visual treatments.
• Creative lighting adjustments and other photographic effects inspired by in-camera techniques.

These processes are intended to communicate mood, energy, movement, and artistic perspective.

Creative photographic editing does not necessarily mean a photograph is intended to represent the scene exactly as it appeared to the human eye.

Cavale Live distinguishes between documentary photographs and substantially manipulated photographic artwork.

When an image contains substantial compositing or artistic manipulation, we will not knowingly present the resulting composition as an untouched documentary record.

Creative treatments must not be used to fabricate significant factual events, falsely imply an artist performed an action, or otherwise materially mislead readers.

Where appropriate, substantially altered images may be identified as creative photographic treatments.

Alternate Edits & Artist Requests

Cavale Live recognizes that artists, publicists, management teams, and other authorized representatives may prefer photographs with more traditional editing.

When available, we are happy to discuss providing alternate versions of our images, including traditionally color-graded photographs without experimental overlays, textures, or more extensive creative effects.

We may also accommodate requests for high-resolution files or additional selections from a performance.

Availability, delivery, image usage, licensing, and attribution requirements are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Artificial Intelligence, Accessibility & Human Authorship

Cavale Live takes a firm position on factual integrity, responsible technology use, accessibility, and the protection of human creative expression.

Permitted AI-Assisted Workflows

Cavale Live may use AI-assisted tools for appropriate supporting tasks, including:

AI & Photographic Authenticity

Cavale Live's original concert photography is captured by human photographers using cameras at actual performances.

We embrace digital editing, creative overlays, layered photographic treatments, and experimental visual techniques.

These processes do not mean the underlying photographs were generated by artificial intelligence.

However, we recognize that AI-generated imagery and AI-assisted image manipulation can introduce new visual content.

If generative AI is used to create substantive image elements, the resulting work must not be represented as an entirely camera-captured documentary photograph.

Any material use of generative imagery must be assessed for appropriate labeling, transparency, and compliance with our photographic standards.

We do not use AI-generated imagery to fabricate real concert events or misleading representations of artists.

Editorial Responsibility & Disclosure

Every published article and original editorial photograph remains subject to human responsibility and oversight.

Contributors are accountable for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work.

Routine assistive technology, dictation, transcription, spelling correction, and grammatical assistance do not automatically require a generative-AI disclosure.

When substantive generative-AI assistance materially contributes original published content, such involvement is disclosed as appropriate.

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors must not knowingly submit fabricated interviews, invented eyewitness accounts, misattributed photographs, or plagiarized material.

Originality does not require every contributor to share the same voice, photographic style, artistic preferences, or creative process.
